Meeple's Republic

I wanted to give a shout out to Ashley and Ka of Meeple's Republic who I met last weekend at Game Summit. They got a lot of eyes on Roll'n Bump on Sunday and helped steer a number of people over to the Mrs. Tiggy Winkles booth. (Thanks again so much you two.)

I suggest you check out this article that goes into their story and the Awesome Ottawa initiative. The short of it is that these rambunctious girls set up social meet ups centred around board gaming, food and drink. One such initiative is to organize "speed gaming" events for singles where folks can sign up to meet others longing for love using fast playing board, card and dice games as social lubricant. I, personally, think that's a really cool idea! Heck, you know you all have, at least, one thing in common if you sign up, right!?
